The Autoimmune Research team has, in recent years, advanced novel therapeutic approaches to modulate and suppress the immune system in a targeted manner within inflamed tissues. To expand our pipeline, we are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Scientist to join our research team. The successful candidate will design and conduct experimental investigations to deepen our understanding of the mechanisms of action of the ImmTAAI and to support the development of new approaches to advance the therapeutic pipeline for autoimmune diseases.

Main Purpose of Job
The Senior Manager FMA serves as the field medical advisor and is the primary field-based point of contact with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Healthcare Providers (HCPs) including clinical investigators on a range of clinical and scientific issues. The primary role is to deliver and facilitate medical education and communications, research, and scientific insight gathering activities. This includes the provision of scientific and medical data on both licensed and unlicensed Immunocore products and indications as permissible by local laws and regulations.
The incumbent will identify, develop, and maintain long-term collaborative partnerships with external clinical and scientific experts and institutions to provide support for current and future Immunocore portfolio activities.
They will ensure effective communication and collaboration across a multifunctional Immunocore team including other Medical Affairs colleagues as well as commercial and Market Access to meet Immunocore and healthcare provider needs and ultimately ensure the best patient care in an efficient and compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities
Medical & personal leadership
• Develops and maintains in a self-driven manner outstanding knowledge of immuno-oncology and relevant disease areas
• Develops and maintains in a self-driven manner outstanding knowledge of Immunocore products, competitor products, and other therapeutic options within therapeutic area
• Collaborates with cross functional team to ensure the best patient care
• Maintains an in-depth understanding of the medical strategy and broader Immunocore strategy to ensure their own activities are coordinated with the team and aligned to strategy within Immunocore
• Collaborates with Cluster and Country Medical Leads for the development and execution of the field medical strategy for the product and disease area
• Maintains and develops synergistic relationships with KOLs to expand research, advisory, and educational partnership opportunities

• Works to the highest ethical compliance, ethics and safety standards adhering to all local regulations and laws
• Engages with cross-functional team to ensure (their own) activities are coordinated with the team and aligned to strategy within Immunocore
• Initiates and leads the implementation of medical projects, e.g., Medical Advisory Board meetings, Medical Education, (patient) care innovation projects
• Provides scientific congresses coverage and support (national and international) Immunocore planned activities

Education & communication
• Serves as external, credible scientific expert on disease area and Immunocore products at HCP field meetings, key medical and scientific conferences, advisory boards, clinical investigator meetings and patient advocacy group meetings
• Responds to unsolicited requests for medical information on Immunocore products in a credible, balanced/objective manner
• Proactively engages with HCP community to provide medical education as permissible by local laws and regulations
• Provides effective clinical presentations to internal and external audiences and tailors presentations to meet specific audience needs
• Supports Early Access Programs (EAPs)
Insight gathering and actions
• Identifies and maps HCPs and networks/referral patterns
• Identify key field insights related to Immunocore products, activities and the disease area and effectively disseminate and collaborate with cross-functional partners
Research
• Support clinical operations in trial site identification
• Facilitate clear communication between Immunocore and investigators in investigator engagement for both Immunocore trials and investigator-sponsored studies and barriers to enrollment for pipeline assets
• Identify and support local data generation activities

Education, Experience and Knowledge
• At least 1-3 years of MSL/Field Medical Affairs experience
• Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) or professionally qualified (physician, nurse pharmacist). Exceptional candidates with MSc considered.
• 3 years of experience with Oncology (as part of academia or in industry) (preferably Immuno-oncology) required
• Knowledge of clinical research design and GCP in the oncology/immune oncology area.
• Demonstrates strong understanding of clinical research trial design and study analysis including cost effectiveness and other high-level HEOR evidence approaches
• Demonstrates strong understanding of local healthcare systems, treatment guidelines
• Demonstrate ability to develop trust and maintain integrity with KOLs/External Clinical and Scientific Experts, investigators, HCPs, and institutions, as well as with peers, and others.
